Tonight's Manannan sailing from Liverpool has been pushed back by nearly four hours.
The 7.15pm service from Merseyside to the Island will now leave at 11pm with passengers asked to check in no later than 10.30pm.
The Steam Packet Company says the decision has been made because of the poor weather being forecast.
Elsewhere, the Ben-my-Chree service from Heysham this afternoon is now setting off at the earlier time of 1.30pm due to the expected conditions.
