Essential work to improve access for vessels coming into Ramsey Harbour is taking place today and tomorrow.
The Department of Infrastructure says levelling and grading work will be done at the East Quay berth, which is used by the Mezeron to import goods and the Islands cement cargo.
Officials say the project has to be carried out to make sure boats coming in don't get severely damaged while manoeuvring.
Residents in the area are being told to expect teams to be out during the very early morning and late afternoon on both Thursday and Friday.
