The Chief Minister says an equality bill for the Island is being processed as quickly as possible.
Allan Bell has spoken out after a couple were refused a rental property on the grounds on their sexuality.
Laura Cull and Kira Izzard were turned down for a house in Ramsey after the landlord, a pastor at the Independent Methodist Church, discovered they were gay.
The pair have since set up a petition calling for the Equality Act 2010 to be implemented.
