Government’s national energy strategy has come under fire from some MHKs – despite not yet being complete.
In the House of Keys yesterday concerns were raised about why government was supporting a private sector project to create an onshore wind farm.
MHKs argued that it was wrong to consider projects when there was no strategy in place – with it not due until 2015.
Michael MHK Alf Cannan accused government of making up policy ‘on the hoof’ after government announced it supported Prowind UK’s plans in principle.
