A new electronic system means an end to paper based prescribing for inpatients in hospital.
The system allows hospital staff to access patient information and medical history more quickly in order to improve decisions about treatment and dosage.
Initially, bedside computers will be used before moving to tablets and mobile devices in the future.
It's part of the government's Digital Strategy and is expected to go live next year at Nobles Hospital, Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital and in the Mental Health Service.
