Modernising the Isle of Man's approach to criminal justice will help both offenders and their victims.
That's the message from the newly appointed head of community rehabilitation Geraldine Martin who's been tasked with addressing the needs of prisoners:
It's in a bid to reduce levels of reoffending - in addition she says they'll be a strong focus on ensuring victims of crime have a voice.
Geraldine says it's vital the Prison and Probation Service recognises, and works with, people who are struggling before they become part of the system:
Ramsey Remembrance service to be marked by maroon rockets
MEDS phone line to be down temporarily
Committee to examine link between poverty and poor academic performance
Police advice for trick-or-treaters to stay safe
