E-Gaming Industry Contributes 5% Of Island\'s Economy
E-gaming has established itself as one of the fastest growing industry’s on the Isle of Man having tripled in size since 2006.
There are now 24 licensed companies operating on the Island with 650 employed within the sector.
Latest figures show that e-gaming has generated 5% of the Island’s economy over the past year with approximately £120 million spent on island.
The Isle of Man is ranked in the top four e-gaming jurisdictions, with the quick license application process and low licensing fee among the main reasons for this.
At the end of the month the Island will have a major presence at one of the worlds biggest E-Gaming events in London, ICE 2011.
ICE is seen as a key event in the calendar and a chance for the Island to advertise itself as a place on which to do business.
