An emergency closure has been put in place for a main road in the east of the Island.
Police say Duke Street in Douglas is closed because of strong winds resulting in slates coming off roofs onto the main street.
Officers also say a big area of pavement is cordoned off between Tower House and Jaks along Loch promenade.
Officers are advising to avoid the area.
