A man’s prosecution for drug-driving has been adjourned to answer questions about whether police acted correctly when they arrested him.
Brandon Lindsay William Clague of Ashley Park in Onchan appeared before Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks at Douglas Courthouse.
The 21 year old hasn’t yet entered a plea to a single charge of driving whilst unfit through drugs on January 9.
Defence advocate Paul Rodgers told the hearing he believed his client was arrested after officers used a roadside drugs test which hadn’t been approved under the law at the time.
Mr Brooks adjourned the case until June 30 and bailed Mr Clague in the sum of £500 while more inquiries are carried out.
