The Chief Minister says government departments can work well outside Douglas.
In Tynwald this week he was questioned by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse who wanted to know when the last government department left the Island's capital, and whether its relocation was a success.
In response, Mr Quayle said the most recent move was in 2010 when the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture relocated to St John's.
He also said an Office of Fair Trading move in 2016 proved successful because the new building is 75 per cent more energy efficient than the old Dogulas premises.
