A married couple from Douglas who were recently left stranded and severely out of pocket have slammed EasyJet for the distress it’s caused.
Chris and Mary Hobdell were due to fly to Tenerife from Manchester when they were refused permission to board the flight.
Mary, who is an Indian national, was told she didn’t have the right to travel to an EU country without a visa – despite having all the relevant documents to travel freely internationally.
The couple have been married for 35 years and have always lived in a British jurisdiction.
