A Douglas councillor is now also a Ramsey commissioner.
Arwid Hall, who serves Central Ward in the capital, stood for one of three vacancies in Ramsey's South Ward.
He was elected after nobody else came forward - last June he stood unopposed in a Douglas by-election.
In Ramsey's North Ward, disability campaigner Eric Corkish was returned unopposed, leaving the local authority with two vacancies on its board.
