The date is set for the big Douglas Christmas light switch on, and we may this year see the return of the festive markets.
That's the word from Oliver Cheshire, Douglas Council's City Centre Manager.
He said it's imperative that people have a reason to come out to the high street, especially around Christmas time, to encourage more local trade, and less internet shopping.
