The date is set for the big Douglas Christmas light switch on, and we may this year see the return of the festive markets.

He said it's imperative that people have a reason to come out to the high street, especially around Christmas time, to encourage more local trade, and less internet shopping.
He gave us a rundown of what they've got planned:
More than 5,500 Manx gambling websites banned by Turkiye
Ramsey park keeps its Green Flag status
Commissioners want DOI to tackle governor's unruly bush
Next Subway branch announced - subject to planning
Vandalism at historic site's gardens
Campsite bans fires and barbecues over safety concerns
