A new ticketless system is to be introduced in car parks in the Island's capital next month.
Douglas Borough Council will be installing automatic number plate recognition systems in the Shaw's Brow and Bottleneck car park.
As the vehicle approaches the entry barrier, the system takes a picture of the registration number and then opens as usual.
Upon the drivers return, the customer keys in the car registration then pays the fee using cash, card or a mobile app.
The council says the system will be quicker and more convenient and upgrades will take place from Monday, October 2.
