The Social Care Minister has reiterated that children on the Island are receiving the highest quality of service possible.
The department has taken numerous steps to improve investment in nursery care and is taking measures to reduce the number of children in care.
There has also been a drop in the numbers of children being referred to the service.
A recent inspection of children’s services has been carried out; the findings of which will be presented in the near future.
