The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service are reminding people to be sensible before jumping into the sea.
Posting to social media, the service said due to changing water depths, there could be hidden debris which could seriously injure those who jump.
It said every year people need rescuing, suffer serious injuries or die because they jump into the unknown.
The National Fire Chief's Council have a campaign, #BeWaterAware, which is aimed at preventing deaths from sea jumping accidents.
