An Island charity is appealing for urgent donations as it faces a £10,000 bill.
The Home of Rest for Old Horses on Richmond Hill says many older horses it looks after can't chew hay and need fresh grass - but fertiliser and lime for fields is extremely expensive.
It's now asking the public to help with donations so it can make sure it has enough grazing for the animals.
