Continued snowfall and freezing temperatures overnight have done little to appease the many issues on the Island's roads this morning.
With the Mountain Road, Kirk Michael to Peel road, Sloc, Cronk-y-Voddy, Sulby Glen and Beinn-y-Phott roads impassable motorists are urged to only make essential journeys today and drive with extreme caution.
Following a major effort overnight by the works teams Richmond Hill has been able to be reopened, although police advise extreme care when driving on it.
The Department of Infrastructure's gritting teams have been stretched to capacity over the last 24 hours, they are still out targeting the main routes.
Met Office forecaster Andy Roberts tells us the situation will begin to improve today.
