The Department of Infrastructure has outlined its "cleaning up" plan for the Island following torrential downpour.
The Department says it has staff dealing with landslides on the Ramsey to Douglas Mountain Road, and it is hoped the road will be opened by early evening.
The DOI also has staff working to support Manx Utilities (MUA) as they work to secure breaches in the river wall at Glen Road, Laxey.
Glen Road, Laxey remains shut due to severe damage to the road surface caused by overflow from the river - engineers are on site assessing how to address this.
All day the Department's staff have been transporting sand bags and tonne bags of sand to the route.
There are sweepers and gully jetters out on the roads dealing with blockages caused by water and material carried by the rain waters.
The department has confirmed there a roadside culvert on the main Laxey to Ramsey coast road, in the vicinity of Dhoon Glen, is damaged.
It's been assessed, signed and coned and will be repaired in due course.
