The Department of Infrastructure has issued a reminder for dog walkers using public rights of way.
People are asked to keep dogs on a lead, whether there's livestock present or not, and stick to the designated path.
It comes as loose dogs can pose a risk to livestock and wildlife as well as themselves and others.
The department asks that people enjoy the countryside responsibly and protect the Island.
