The Department of Infrastructure has given Castletown Commissioners a 12 month license to operate a block of public toilets.
It follows a dispute between the two authorities over the operation of the Back Hope Street facilities, which started last year.
Minister Chris Thomas says he hopes ‘support’ can be given to the local authority to help with the upkeep.
He says the resolved situation shows that his department is ‘absolutely serious’ about working with local authorities:
