New drivers could soon face more restrictions - but not until after the election.
Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall faced a question for written reply from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson about introducing graduated licences.
In response, Mr Crookall said his department is developing a new system and reviewed best practice from elsewhere in 2020 - other jurisdictions impose nighttime curfews and passenger restrictions on young drivers.
He revealed there'll be a public consultation this summer before passing policy options on to the next administration.
