DEC highlights rules about child performers

Guidance is being offered to local groups who are planning to cast children to perform in shows.

The Department of Education and Children has produced a leaflet highlighting the frequently asked questions involving the use of young people.
 
It covers information about how often they can perform and when and the appropriate licences needed. 
 
Suzanne Vote is the child employment officer she says the guidance is there to ensure children get the most they can out of performing:
