Organisers of a New Year's Day tradition are asking people to respect the event's chosen charities rather than raise cash for their own causes.
Now in its 34th year, the Peel Dip will take place at 12pm on Peel Beach on January 1st.
All money raised will be split between Peel Lifeboat, Multiple Sclerosis and Peel & Western District Anti-Cancer.
Organisers say the dip is an organised event for the three specific good causes - and are asking people to support the official chosen charities.
