Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer's defended closing down a lane outside the airport during a recent terror alert.
The lane was closed after the UK raised its terror threat level to the highest possible following the Manchester attack.
However, a number of international airports in the UK didn't take similar measures, leading North Douglas MHK David Ashford to query why the move was thought necessary.
In the House of Keys, Mr Harmer said he had to act on the advice from the UK:
Some northern homes to be without water tomorrow
Several sailings cancelled today
Hundreds of artworks available to see online for first time

Nearly £265k paid to install broadband cables
