The Department of Health and Social Care says just 39 abortions have been performed on the Island in the past seven years.
A freedom of information request from 3FM asked how many procedures had been performed legally since October 2011.
The DHSC said the answer was confidential because it would breach patient confidentiality - but that response has now been overturned after a review.
The department has also apologised for a late response to the request.
