Major footway maintenance work will start on Derby Road in Peel from Monday, with work on Atholl Street beginning in early January.
The first phase will be the reconstruction of the footways and carriageway on Derby Road between the western boundary of the Cathedral precinct and Atholl Place.
A total road closure will be in place and is expected to last for eight weeks, buses will operate from the existing stops on Albany Road, but Atholl Street will operate as a one-way system.
The work will stop over Christmas before work on the footways of Atholl Street starts early in the new year, with completion targeted for March.
