Nick Clegg Present Aswell As Peter Robinson And Martin McGuinness
Some of the UK’s most powerful politicians have been on the Island today for the 15th British-Irish Council Summit meeting.
Its being held at the Sefton Hotel with Chief Minister Tony Brown acting as chairman.
The economy has been the main focus of the meeting so far today with the politicians discussing their individual Government’s approach to the fiscal challenges ahead.
Security for the event was very tight with Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg present, aswell as Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness.
High-ranking officials from United Kingdom, the Irish Republic, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Jersey and Guernsey were also present.
