The Department for Enterprise has welcomed interim recommendations on minimum wage rates.
In a letter published on the government website, the Minimum Wage Committee recommended paying £11.45 an hour to adults and £8.50 to younger people over the next year.
The DfE says a further assessment is expected to be finished this month.
It's hoping to bring the rates to Tynwald in May, subject to Council of Ministers approval.
