The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture are urging people they must have a licence to fish.
It's after three people were prosecuted for angling without a licence or landing net and using illegal bait.
The department says anglers must legally fish in the Island's rivers and reservoirs to avoid unnecessary damage to stocks.
Licences can be bought on the Goverment website or at the Sea Terminal in Douglas.
