Delays in safeguarding inquiries about children who may be at risk are getting longer, according to figures from Manx Care.
A Freedom of Information request asked how long it took to carry out an inquiry about a child after a safeguarding strategy meeting - the target is 15 days.
The data shows that figure hasn't bee achieved since 2019 - in 2023, the average time was 29 days while this year that's risen to 36 days.
The longest it's taken in the past six years is 154 days, because of delays getting information from an external agency.
