A man who couldn't afford his medical cannabis prescription has been fined for buying it from a dealer.
36 year old Lee James Willis of Lord Street in Douglas admitted possessing cannabis when he appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
Officers found 1.5 grams of cannabis worth £30 when they searched his home on May 16.
Willis said he'd been prescribed cannabis, but couldn't afford it when he wasn't working and so bought it elsewhere.
He was fined £600 and ordered to pay £50 costs.
