Dave Moffitt - who crashed during yesterday's practice session - is being transferred to Aintree Hospital.
His family took to social media to share an update on his condition - following his crash at Laurel Bank last night.
The post says he is currently in ICU, having suffered many extensive injuries - and underwent surgery last night to stabilise him for the flight to Liverpool.
The family has thanked everyone for their support and say they will post when they know more about his condition.
