The UK press has picked up on comments made by Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne about the UK becoming more of a foe than friend to the Isle of Man.
He made the controversial statement at a nationalist gathering on Sunday and was speaking in reference to the way the UK has treated the Island on matters such as the Reciprocal Health and VAT sharing agreements.
He said by their actions they’ve shown clear ambivalence for the Island.
The article also picks up on Minister Gawne's hints that it's time to look beyond the UK for developing new trade partners.
Speaking to 3FM Mr Gawne said his problem lies with the way the UK have seen the Island's Government and economy as a means to raise money to help appease their own problems.
