Cyclists are being urged to slow down in Douglas city centre.
Douglas Council and the police are reminding the public that the main pedestrianised shopping streets are not for cyclists, with many areas in the town where it is suitable to do so.
The call follows a number of complaints about reckless cyclists in Strand Street, Castle Street and Duke Street, which is not permitted.
If caught contravening the byelaws you could be fined up to £2,500.
The police have asked that cyclists dismount and walk their bikes through these areas.
