The Communication Workers Union (CWU) says its making itself available for intense negotiations in the days leading up to a planned strike from postal workers.
CWU's Deputy General Secretary Postal, Terry Pullinger, says he and local negotiators are free for talks on the three days before a scheduled walkout from union members due to take place December 13 and 14.
In a letter sent to Isle of Man Post Office chief executive, Simon Kneen, Mr Pullinger added it's so both parties can try and reach an agreement to avoid the strike.
The postal service has already announced a contingency strategy for the two planned days of action if it goes ahead.
