A group is providing some families with food vouchers to support them through the summer holidays.
IoM Community Meal Donations raised thousands of pounds after the Manx government scrapped its voucher scheme which ran for one summer.
Since then the group, which also provides cooked meals for the elderly, has raised nearly £4,000 pounds to help those whose children normally qualify for free school meals.
Initially the group distributed packed lunches but has since opted for a voucher scheme.
Each qualifying family is being sent a weekly voucher of £10 per child- something that will continue until the end of the summer break.
A spokesman said £400 worth of vouchers were sent out in the first week.
