Firefighters were on hand last night after a house fire broke out in Port St Mary.
Crews were called to the property on the upper prom on Wednesday evening where the flames were confined to the timber around a bay window between the first and second floor.
Teams removed coving and skirting boards to take away the damaged timber - the fire service believes the issue may have been caused by a heat gun used for renovation work earlier in the day.
Personnel were at the scene for around one hour.
