An Onchan man has appeared in court after being accused of cheating the benefits system.
48-year-old Jason Dale Batty, of First Avenue, allegedly made six false representations to obtain benefits.
It’s claimed he pocketed more than £39,000 he wasn’t entitled to between September 2014 and June 2016.
A two-week adjournment was granted - he’ll next appear in court on November 15 th .
