John George Moore and Patricia Anne Moore of Meary Voar appeared before Deemster Cook at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Both have denied charges of evading VAT between 2010 and 2015, but have yet to enter pleas to one further charge of evading VAT in 2019.
The court heard the couple, who represented themselves when they appeared via a live video link, had been due to stand trial earlier but the date had been vacated because of difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Neither made a bail application and both were remanded in custody.
A three-week trial is due to begin on November 2.
