Outcome of Bowl A Win Win Situation For Government and Council, Says Councillor
With work on the Bowl refurbishment well underway we’ve asked the question will the disagreements in the planning stages between the Government and the Douglas Council leave a lasting impression?
The Council were forced to hand the bowl over to the Government for a nominal fee of £1 when they realised in light of the financial downturn they would be unable to fund the work.
There were then subsequent disagreements over a car park, which Government felt should have come with the deal.
Councillor David Christian told 3FM regardless of the disagreements there has been a positive outcome.
