Douglas Council says it'll support Fairtrade products in future.
At its last meeting, the local authority's executive committee heard representatives had met the Isle of Man Fairtrade Group and One World Centre in January.
The committee voted to support and promote the Fairtrade initiative, which campaigns for sustainable agriculture as well as safe conditions and fair wages for workers in developing countries.
The council will make sure Fairtrade produce is available in its premises wherever possible.
