Douglas Council says it's scrapping the kerbside collection scheme for the next fortnight.
The collections in Douglas and Braddan will be suspended because of the ongoing coronavirus lockdown.
It says the move is designed to protect its workers as well as the public.
Bring banks will remain open, and the local authority says it will review the decision in two weeks.
