The Isle of Man could see flights to South Yorkshire restart, after a UK council pledged to spend £160 million reopening an airport.
The City of Doncaster Council says it's hoping to reopen Doncaster Sheffield Airport in 2027 after the site closed in 2022.
A survey by Mayor Ros Jones found the Isle of Man was one of the routes people wanted to see operate from the facility.
A service between Ronaldsway and Doncaster was set up by Links Air in 2014, before the airline had its operating certificate suspended the following year.
