Tesco says new refrigeration units at a store currently undergoing a conversion shouldn't bother nearby residents.
The company has applied for planning permission for cooling units at its store on Bowring Road in Ramsey.
In its application, the supermarket chain says it would install acoustic fencing around the equipment.
And a noise survey found the units aren't likely to be too noisy for those living nearby.
