A telecoms company has applied to replace a mobile phone mast in the south of the Island.
Sure says it wants to replace an existing 12-metre antenna at Ballahick Farm in Ballasalla.
In its application, it says it wants to build a 15-metre lattice tower that would contain equipment to improve the mobile network.
And it adds the existing tower can't be used for next-generation equipment, which is heavier and mounted on the tower rather than placed at its base.
