A local authority in the East of the Island has applied for planning permission to build 30 new homes next door to an industrial estate.
Braddan Commissioners say they want to build 24 one-bedroomed and six two-bedroomed flats on the land off Peel Road at Snugborough.
The board says after consulting with the Department of Infrastructure, the development will be accessed via the Snugborough housing estate rather than directly from the main road.
Commissioners add the former farm and car showroom site has good public transport links and the flats would have their own parking spaces.
