More than 40 local authority housing tenants in Onchan have been told to tidy up their scruffy gardens.
At their last meeting, Onchan Commissioners heard 44 letters had been sent to tenants telling them to clear up their lawns.
One member asked why so many stage one garden rectification letters had been sent out over the last quarter.
They were told housing department staff visited all the area's social housing estates and wrote to tenants if gardens weren't up to scratch.
