Braddan Commissioners rejected the original plans to develop countryside land on Ballafletcher Road into a housing estate.
The area was designated for the development of over 300 homes under the Area Plan for the East.
The new estate would also include a neighbourhood centre, a primary school and a retirement care home.
It is still in the first stages of planning and has not been considered by the planning committee yet, but the commissioners rejected the plans back in May.
