The chair of Onchan Commissioners has announced he'll stand in the general election for Garff.
Anthony Allen is also the director of Laxey Flour Mill, and describes himself as someone with a track record of turning underperforming organisations into successful ones.
Among his priorities will be roads and potholes, pushing for a timetable on the area's sewage treatment works, and holding government to account on the Mooir Vannin offshore windfarm plans.
The general election will go ahead on Thursday, September 24.
